Cody Sloan Actor Headshot

Cody is a classically trained actor and multi-hyphenate artist.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Cody began his professional career in Boston. He received his MFA in Acting from the University of San Diego's prestigious program at the La Jolla Playhouse, consistently ranked one of the top 5 MFA Acting programs in the country.

Two months after graduating, he made his Off-Broadway debut in the 2022 Drama Desk Award winning production Seven Deadly Sins, working alongside Tony, Emmy, and Drama Desk award nominated director Moisés Kaufman. Since then, he has worked with some of the most respected directors in the country, from Tony Award winners Christopher Ashley and Diane Paulus, to Will Davis, Emily Moler, Vanessa Stalling, and Jess McLeod. He has originated roles in several world premiere plays, most recently D. A. Mindell’s On the Evolutionary Function of Shame at 2nd Stage, Off-Broadway and P. Carl’s Becoming a Man at the American Repertory Theater.

In addition to theatrical work, Cody works across film, narration, and producing his own projects. In 2019, he appeared in Amazon Prime's critically acclaimed Selah and the Spades, working opposite Jesse Williams. He can also be seen as Patrick in Nate Dushku’s directorial debut feature, Birder, opposite Michael Emery, which debuted at Out On Film. He has brought engaging, versatile narration to multiple titles found Audible. He is proud to be out as a queer, Transgender actor.

Cody is the co-founder and artistic director of the LA based producing company, Baby Teeth, which garnered multiple award nominations for their recent West Coast premiere production of The Grown-Ups
